ENFIELD, Conn. (WGGB/WSHM) - Six businesses temporarily shut down, and four arrests were made, including an Agawam woman, after a multi-agency inspection of smoke shops across Enfield, Connecticut.
Enfield police and state officials inspected 16 locations.
Six stores were found to be in violation of labor laws, two of those were also caught selling nicotine to an underage person.
Police say a substantial amount of illegal THC products were found at the shops as well.
T-Ville Food Mart, Smoke Plus Mart, VP Mart, Zain’s Smoke Shop, Smoke Land, and Tobacco House of Enfield are now shut down, until their violations are resolved.
Three people from Connecticut are facing charges, in addition to 22-year-old Ela Trehan from Agawam, who is charged with intent to distribute controlled substance
