BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Some Patriots players get statues in front of the stadium, and others get playgrounds named in their honor.
The new ‘Gronk’ park- named for Patriots all-star tight end Rob Gronkowski is now open on the esplanade in Boston.
The playground is designed to be accessible and inclusive for children of all abilities, and the play structures were built to look like different landmarks across the city.
Governor Maura Healey was in attendance for Tuesday’s grand opening, even getting the chance to break in one of the slides.
