BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is undergoing a major overhaul, starting with new leadership and a strategy to complete road projects more efficiently and cost-effectively.
DOTD officials testified in front of the Joint Transportation Committee on Aug. 19 to outline the progress made and the road ahead.
“So, really it’s trying to streamline that project delivery process from planning to construction,” said Glen Ledet, newly appointed DOTD secretary.
To achieve this, Ledet is emphasizing private sector involvement for certain DOTD responsibilities.
