MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The second day of Hernandez Govan’s trial wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
It was a slightly shorter court session than day one, but the witnesses called to the stand gave shocking testimonies.
Govan is facing a first-degree murder charge and a conspiracy to commit murder charge in connection with the shooting death of Memphis rapper Young Dolph.
The link between Govan and self-confessed triggerman Cornelius Smith, one witness says, is rapper Yo Gotti’s brother.
That witness was Angela Arnold, Smith’s girlfriend.
Day one of the trial established that the bounty on Young Dolph’s head stemmed from tension between his record label, Paper Route Entertainment, and Yo Gotti’s record label, Cocaine Music Group.
