During a packed meeting at Peterson Auditorium at Ludington High School, the State of the District Address was given at the Ludington Area School District Board of Education meeting, in which it was announced that on July 24 the board presented a wage proposal to the Ludington Education Association that includes salary increases of 2.5 percent for three consecutive years for members of the bargaining unit.

“This proposal represents a strong commitment of valuing our teachers, providing predictable, sustainable increases that recognize their dedication to our students,” Board President Dr. Bret Autrey said in a statement. “We believe this offer strikes a balance between fiscal responsibility and our shared goal of attracting and retaining high-quality educators for our community.”
