LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — A Lincoln man is recovering after getting body slammed to the ground early Friday morning.

According to Lincoln Police, officers were called out to the report of an assault near North 17th and O streets around 2 a.m. A 25-year-old man was injured after being thrown to the ground.

Video from the incident shows another person run up behind the victim and pick him up. The suspect suspends the victim from his waist for a short time before quickly hurling him to the ground. The victim is then seen convulsing on the cement.

The victim told 10/11 News that he was again punched by another suspect while on the ground.

He was later taken to the hospital after suffering a traumatic head injury, hematoma, skull fracture and a concussion. He said the injuries have caused him
