Man hit by bullet while doing yard work at Florence home, police say

FLORENCE, S.C. (WBTW) -- A man was doing yard work at a Florence home when he was hit in the hand by a bullet, police said on Wednesday.

Officers responded at about 8 p.m. Tuesday to Charles Street for a shots fired call, according to police. It was reported that two people were seen in the street shooting guns when the victim was hit, and police do not believe the victim was the intended target.
