UPDATE: Several parents from the Girls Preparatory School (GPS) community are defending the school's former soccer coach who resigned amid hazing allegations.
On Monday, Local 3 got a copy of a letter that was sent to the GPS community by the head of school, Megan Cover, saying, that they discovered Patrick Winecoff had a pattern of hazing and initiation activities that go back several years.
The following statement, which supports Winecoff, was sent to Local 3 News on Wednesday by parents of former GPS soccer players:
