SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Alan Eugene Beier, 61 of Fort Dodge, received a 42-month federal prison sentence for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The sentencing took place Tuesday in Sioux City. On September 14, 2024, Beier was stopped by a Clear Lake Police Department officer due to a driving complaint involving a motorcycle with a dim headlight and no tail lights. During the stop, officers discovered $864 in cash, 10 grams of cocaine, 82 grams of marijuana, and 235 grams of methamphetamine. Beier admitted to purchasing the drugs in Minnesota for $2,600 with plans to sell the methamphetamine in Northern Iowa. United States District Court Judge Leonard T.
