SPOKANE, Wash. – The Bite 2 Go program , crucial for delivering weekend meals to children in several counties, is facing a funding shortfall. Second Harvest is working to bridge this gap to ensure no child goes hungry over the weekend.

Regular donors to the Bite 2 Go program have contributed less this year due to their own financial constraints, explained Steve Durham, vice president of philanthropy at Second Harvest. "We've got a gap that represents about 300 students," Durham said. These students rely on Bite 2 Go for weekend food support, but current funding is insufficient.
