FRONT ROYAL — The Warren County Board of Supervisors re-appropriated money originally set aside for Samuels Public Library on Tuesday night, awarding it instead to public schools and fire and rescue.
Supervisor Richard Jamieson moved that the board award $240,000 — an increase from the $100,000 that was included in the original agenda item — to the Warren County School Board and $75,000 to the Warren County Fire & Rescue Department.
Seconded by Supervisor Vicky Cook and supported by Chairman Jerome “Jay” Butler and Vice Chairman John Stanmeyer, the motion passed without discussion. Supervisor Cheryl Cullers abstained from the vote, saying that she “won’t rob the schools and I won’t rob the library.”
