ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The duck pond at the University of New Mexico is almost ready to officially reopen after undergoing renovations since the end of 2024.

The university announced Wednesday that it will have a grand opening ceremony on Sept. 3, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The celebration will feature several speakers, light refreshments, and a limited number of commemorative button pins for attendees.
