LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -As expected we saw some scattered showers Wednesday and we will continue to see them through at least Friday.

For Thursday we will have more scattered showers and storms around the area with a 40% chance of rain. We may have more clouds too, but still enough sunshine to push temperatures up into the low 90s before rain begins in the afternoon hours. And it is possible for rain to develop earlier in the day as well.

This same pattern continues through Friday with scattered showers. But a weak cold front will move into our area as well. Now don’t get your hopes up for a cooldown, as that is not going to happen. However, the front may bring slightly less humid air to SWLA which in turn would limit the amount of rain around.
