An assault suspect holed up inside a beachfront Malibu home Wednesday, refusing commands from sheriff’s deputies to exit the residence.
Deputies responded around 10:20 a.m. to the home in the 25000 block of Malibu Road, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
It was unclear exactly what prompted the sheriff’s response. KTLA5 reported from the scene that a woman inside the home may have shot an arrow at people on the beach near the home, but nobody was injured. Those reports had not been confirmed, according to the station.
Aerial footage of the home showed what appeared to be trash scattered on the sand in front of the residence, along with towels and other items on the upper balcony.
