LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Nearly a month after a fire burned down the University Gardens shopping center near UNLV, fire inspectors and insurance adjusters are searching for answers in the building’s rubble.

Public Insurance adjuster Neil May, representing a Korean market that was in the plaza, believes it will be at least a few weeks until they figure it out.

“I would be very surprised if it doesn't take a month,” May said. “I think with this kind of fire, they'll actually secure a lot of equipment and evidence, and then they'll analyze it or have it analyzed by different labs.”

While it could take a month, there are leads that inspectors and adjusters are tracking down, like a restaurant having no wood framing left after the fire, as opposed to the businesses next to it.
