CROWN POINT — A shooting Sunday afternoon left a man seriously injured near the Woodlake Village Apartments in Gary's Miller Beach neighborhood, court records show.

Kevon Gibson, 24, of Gary, and Joshua Woodall, 35, of Gary, were charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery for shooting at Gibson's ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, according to Lake Criminal Court documents. Gibson's ex-girlfriend told police she and her boyfriend were driving late afternoon in the 500 block of S. Union Street toward the apartment complex when Gibson allegedly opened fire, according to a probable cause affidavit.
