CONNAGH, Waterford — A new ordinance targeting off-road vehicle use throughout Waterford is now in effect, aiming to stop reckless riding on the town’s roadways.
Town officials say the law is a necessary step to improve safety and enforce stricter penalties for violations.

The sight of ATVs and dirt bikes speeding down Waterford streets, popping wheelies and ignoring traffic laws has become all too common and dangerous.

“I think they're overdue. I think they've gotten out of control, and I think it's perfectly fine," said one local man.
