BEECH CREEK — A Clinton County man was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with state troopers after he fled while they were trying to serve a bench warrant.

This was the third time within a year Brandon Lee Bitner, 42, of the Mill Hall area, has had an encounter with state troopers, according to court documents

Bitner was free on bail when three troopers went to his home in Bald Eagle Twp. about 8:50 p.m. Tuesday to serve the warrant related to one of the earlier cases.
