LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — North Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide where a man was found inside a vehicle that was on fire.

The North Las Vegas Police Department said the homicide happened early Sunday morning, just before 3 p.m. in the 3200 block of Mary Dee Avenue, near Cheyenne Avenue and Civic Center Drive.

When the North Las Vegas Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire, a man was found dead inside. Police say the investigation remains in early stages and detectives are working to gather more details.

The identity of the man, along with the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
