DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (WAFB) - Deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Denham Springs Police Department say they’ve arrested a man accused of stealing hundreds of dollars’ worth of meat by stuffing it into his pants.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) says dispatchers received a call Wednesday morning, Aug. 20, about a man who left the Walmart Neighborhood Market in Denham Springs without paying for the concealed items, only to return and try it again.

Sheriff Jason Ard says witnesses reported that the suspect drove off in a black Honda with no license plate. Denham Springs police later spotted and stopped the vehicle on Range Avenue near I-12.
