WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WFIE) - Two people were arrested and one person was reported injured after Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith gave a speech at the Ohio Township Trustee Office.
Officials say Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith was giving a speech and discussing different topics when a woman began yelling “expletives” from the crowd.
They say she was asked several times to stop, then was asked to leave.
Deputies began to escort the woman out after she refused to leave, and she allegedly pushed a deputy.
According to authorities, she was taken to the ground and put into custody.
They say a man tried to intervene, and he was also arrested.
Police say another woman at the speech reported she had been injured and was taken to the hospital.
