Since being born in 2021 from the consolidation of Sullivan Central, Sullivan North and Sullivan South, West Ridge has yet to beat rivals Dobyns-Bennett and Science Hill on the football field.

That will be a tough task once again this year for the Wolves.

The following is a brief look at West Ridge’s four opponents in Region 1-6A:

DOBYNS-BENNETT

Defending regional champion Dobyns-Bennett experienced some key graduation losses, but the Indians will still be pretty darn good.

Seniors Tegan Begley and Corde Moore are proven when it comes to carrying the ball and they’ll be running behind an offensive line featuring Baker Correll, Ezra Renderos, Zackhi Williams, Cooper Bellamy and Mitch Newhouse.

Braylon Fugate and Tyree Thomas are leaders on the defensive line.
