LISBON, N.D. — Ten miles outside Lisbon, the North Dakota National Guard gave local employers a firsthand look at their training on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Sponsored by ESGR, a program that helps service members balance military duties with civilian jobs, the demonstration included sling load exercises with Black Hawk helicopters lifting cargo hundreds of feet into the air.
The soldiers said training in the field is not just about preparing for missions but also shaping character, building resilience, and learning what it truly means to serve.
