Three men accused of committing multiple robberies in Area 25, Lilongwe have pleaded not guilty to four counts of robbery with intent to commit robbery.

Initially, Felix Magaleta, Adam Tsoka, and Aubrey Banda faced two counts, but the prosecution has since increased the charges to four.

Magaleta and Tsoka have now pleaded guilty to all four charges, while Banda has pleaded guilty to three.

Prosecutor Rodney Bottoman informed the court that the State has two witnesses, but only one appeared today, as the other could not be reached by phone.

Magistrate Wanangwa Nyirenda adjourned the hearing to 2 p.m. this afternoon to continue proceedings.

The accused are alleged to have stolen items including handguns from four individuals between May and July in Area 25.
