A beach on Massachusetts' North Shore has been closed to swimming after a shark sighting on Thursday.
The Gloucester Beaches account, which is run by the city, posted a beach advisory on Facebook just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday saying that they were closing the water at Good Harbor Beach following a reported shark sighting at Long Beach.

They said the harbormaster is investigating.
"Please stay out of the water until further notice and follow lifeguard instructions," the message said.
The city had already issued a beach advisory on Wednesday warning of strong surf and rip currents starting Thursday and running through the weekend as a result of Hurricane Erin.
