KIMBERLY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A local man is charged with child sex crimes after Kimberly-Hansen Police arrested him this week.

20-year-old James Dover is charged with rape and five counts of lewd conduct. Police Chief Sjuni Bunderson attended a Child Abuse Response and Evaluation Services interview in June for a young teen girl who was dating Dover. She told Sjuni about instances of Dover touching her in inappropriate ways, as well as her younger sister, according to court documents.

Dover made his first appearance in felony magistrate court on Wednesday afternoon.

Judge Thomas Kershaw Jr. set his bond at $250,000 per warrant.

Dover is due back in court on Aug. 29 for a preliminary hearing.
