EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - We’re learning new details about two Columbia County deputy jailers who were injured while responding to an inmates cell on Wednesday night.

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Jailer Sabrina Dodgen suffered a head injury and remains in the hospital after responding to the jail cell of inmate Samantha Williams.

According to the incident report, four deputy jailers responded to Williams jail cell due to Williams vandalizing her cell.

While the cell door was opening, Williams rushed the door as the jailers attempted to restrain her, according to the report.
