NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The North Charleston Police Department said all lanes on I-26 have cleared following a pursuit and crash on Thursday afternoon.

I-26 east was down to one lane at the Mount Pleasant and Savannah exits onto I-526, 212 B and C, for a couple of hours before reopening.

Law enforcement is on the scene, as is EMS.

The suspect police say was involved in the chase ran off and officers are currently searching for them, according to spokesman Harve Jacobs.
