School bus drivers in Anne Arundel County have authorized a strike after the union says their company's offer fails to meet their expectations.
UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO says the bus drivers -- employed by Annapolis Bus Company (ABC) and RE Wilson -- were told by management that it made its "last, best, and final" offer.
It is currently unclear when a strike would start. Union leaders say they are still waiting for ABC to provide a potential resolution.
If the bus drivers strike, transportation could be disrupted for thousands of Anne Arundel County students.
The bus drivers who authorized the strike operate 84 bus routes and transport about 7200 students daily.
