The most decorated wrestler in Rutgers University history will take the stage on the banks of the Raritan one more time this fall.

Anthony Ashnault, who was a four-time All-American, three-time Big Ten gold medalist and the 2019 NCAA champion at 149 pounds, headlines Rutgers’ 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame Class.

The South Plainfield High School graduate, a four-time NJSIAA wrestling champion, posted a 32-0 record during his epic final season of 2018-19, joining teammate Nick Suriano as the program’s first NCAA champions – a feat they achieved on the same night, just a few minutes apart.

Ashnault is currently an assistant wrestling coach at Princeton University.

He headlines a four-person class that will be inducted Oct. 17 at Jersey Mike’s Arena, with the inductees recognized on Oct. 18
