CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One of the biggest acquisitions for the Steelers this offseason is making his debut in the Black and Gold Thursday night. Defensive back Jalen Ramsey got the start for the Steelers as they wrap up preseason play against the Carolina Panthers.

Ramsey was on the field with the Steelers first-team defense for the opening series for the final tune-up game for Pittsburgh before the season opener at the Jets on Sept. 7.

The Steelers landed Jalen Ramsey this offseason in a trade that saw them give up All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Ramsey is a seven-time Pro Bowler who has been named a first-team All-Pro three times. The former Florida State star also won a Super Bowl while playing for the Rams.

His salary for the 2025 season is approximately $26.6 million.
