THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - Thomas University announced Kurt Stringfellow as its interim president in a Thursday press release.

The announcement of Stringfellow’s appointment comes two weeks after its 11th president, Dr. James Andrew “Andy” Sheppard, stepped down from the role.

Stringfellow currently serves as the university’s director of athletics and joined the school in 2017 as the director of development.

Before his time at Thomas University, Stringfellow worked at various YMCAs in the southeast from 2001 to 2017, according to the press release.
