Week 1 of high school football officially got started on Thursday night. Signal Mountain's defense pitched a 29-0 shutout over Chattanooga Central, while Roman Eulo had quite the night as Walker Valley topped Cleveland 28-3.

Eulo, who accounted for all four of the Mustangs touchdowns, said, "My o-line was working for sure. I was just behind them, I was following. Shoutout Caden Lassen--he knows how to block."

"Ultimately, he really stepped outside of what we even needed him to do," Walker Valley Head Coach Drew Akins explained.

"He had the four touchdowns, should've had one more quite honestly. [He] played a great game. We're going to find different ways to get him the ball all the time, but what makes him so great is the people around him."
