Kent could be hit by rain and thundery showers with lightning as the remnants of Hurricane Erin approach the UK, marking an end to the summer holidays. The category-two storm is making its way eastwards across the North Atlantic and experts predict it may reach our shores by mid-next week.

BBC Weather forecasts wet conditions starting from Thursday, August 28, with thundery showers expected over the following weekend and into the next week on Tuesday afternoon (September 2). Thankfully, the wind is predicted to be no more than a moderate breeze, although this could change as we get closer to these dates.
