Police have released an update on the condition of the tractor driver involved in a serious crash on the M20 . The man was airlifted to hospital on Monday morning (August 18) after the tractor he was driving became separated from its trailer while travelling on the A227 Gravesend Road overbridge near Wrotham.
The tractor subsequently fell from the bridge onto the central reservation between junction 2 of the M20, for Wrotham, and junction 3 for Addington. The motorway was then closed in both directions between J3 and J1, for Swanley.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance and a critical care paramedic, were called to the scene. The driver was airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries .
