BENNETTSVILLE, S.C. (WBTW) -- An animal-control officer was hurt Thursday in an accidental shooting outside the Marlboro County Courthouse in Bennettsville, a county official said.
It happened at about 6:10 p.m. while the officer was clearing her weapon outside the courthouse, county administrator Tony Clyburn said. She was struck in the left foot and taken by EMS to McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, where she was treated for a minor injury and released.
