More varieties and brands of shrimp sold across the U.S. are being recalled for possible radionuclide (Cesium-137) contamination. According to the Food and Drug Administration, the recall applies to frozen shrimp product that were distributed by California-based Southwind Foods LLC between July 17 and Aug. 8, 2025.

The products were shipped to retailers, distributors, and wholesalers in Alabama, Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, and Washington state. The recall applies to 13 different packages of shrimp sold under various brand names and sizes. The brand names include Sand Bar, Arctic Shores, Best Yet, Great American and First Street.
