LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has launched a new statewide platform, MI Options , offering free, comprehensive, person-centered options counseling for adults seeking long-term care services and supports.

Medicare counseling is also available through the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) and the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) program, guiding those navigating enrollment and related Medicare concerns.

Person-centered options counseling can assist individuals in exploring long-term care and support options, including home and community-based services.

It also helps people identify next steps following a major life event and better understand the services and supports available to them.
