GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A Battle Creek man is facing up to life in prison for possessing over 4,000 fentanyl pills disguised as oxycodone with the intent to deliver.

Nazzarie Carmouche-Heath, 29, pleaded guilty on Aug. 21 to possession with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl, according to a news release from the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan.

Carmouche-Heath faces a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 4, 2025.

According to the plea agreement, Carmouche-Heath admitted to possessing and intending to sell thousands of fentanyl pills weighing over 470 grams in March 2025. Prosecutors said the Battle Creek man was found in possession of 4,714 blue pills that were designed to loo
