A man has been charged with nine offences after being arrested in connection with a series of violent incidents, according to Comox Valley RCMP.

On Aug. 19, officers were called to a report of a man making threats with a firearm in the 100-block of Centennial Drive in Courtenay around 6:15 p.m.

RCMP says officers found the red pickup truck associated with the report, and arrested a man and a woman.

The driver, 34-year-old James Snowdon, is being held in custody until his next court appearance, while the woman was released without charges at this time.

Snowdon has been charged with nine offenses including assault with a weapon, impaired driving, and running from police. The charges have not yet been heard in court.
