A Centralia police officer has been charged with seven felonies related to domestic violence in Audrain County.
Curtis Higby of Mexico, Missouri, was charged Thursday with two different counts of first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, tampering with evidence, third-degree assault and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
Higby is accused of a pattern of domestic violence involving his ex-wife from February until recently in August, according to court documents. A probable cause statement said some of the accusations include use of a firearm and that some of the accusations were caught on camera.
Higby is currently being held without bond.
Court documents identify his as an officer with the Centralia Police Department.
