Morning storms in the forecast

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - With onshore or west flow and a some pieces of energy moving in we can expect to see some morning showers and thunderstorms. We will also see a few scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. The biggest concentration of storms will be in the late morning and early afternoon. Some of the rain could be heavy due to the atmosphere being juiced up with tropical moisture.

Most of the late afternoon storms will be inland and along the east coast. We could also see a few evening storms on Saturday close to the west coast.

Sunday will be pretty close to what we will see on Saturday with a good chance for scattered showers or thunderstorms at anytime during the day with more activity expected during the late morning and early afternoon along the coast.
