LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The La Crosse County District Attorney's Office on Friday released the criminal complaint for Jonah Larson, known nationally and in the La Crosse community as a "crocheting prodigy."

Larson, 17, has been charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Under 16 and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping after allegedly groping a 12-year-old fellow resident at a La Crosse 24-hour youth crisis center and shelter.

Around 1:15 a.m. on July 23, 2025, officers were dispatched to RHYMES La Crosse—the Runaway and Homeless Youth Mediation and Emergency Services location in La Crosse—after an intake worker had learned of the sexual assault allegations.
