Jefferson County High School kicked off its 2025 football season with a 41-0 win against the Cocke County Fighting Cocks on Friday night.

The Patriots got a 65-yard touchdown return from Donovan Jackson to get the scoring started and set the tone for the evening early before running away with the win.

Donovan Jackson and running back Shawn Jackson stole the show all night, combining for 131 total yards and three touchdowns. The sophomore and senior will continue to play a significant role in Jefferson County’s offense and led the charge for the Patriots on Friday night.

On his own, Donovan Jackson notched 123 yards of offense with a touchdown on the ground, using his physicality and speed to rip through the Cocke County defense all night.
