WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. ( WKYT /Gray News) - Rescue crews in Wolfe County saved two women who were stuck in a hot tub on Wednesday night.
The Wolf County Search & Rescue Team reported that a group of women in their 80s was relaxing in the hot tub while staying at a remote cabin.
According to the search and rescue team, when it was time to get out, two of the women couldn’t because of pre-existing issues.
The two women began to overheat and showed signs of hyperthermia before losing consciousness. Another member of their group got in the tub with them to ensure they didn’t drown as others called 911.
The Wolfe County Search and Rescue Team, the Wolfe County Sheriff’s Office and the caretakers of the cabin all responded. An EMS crew was also requested but was not immediately available.
