Instead of using $475 million to build a new stadium, the state should build a Hawaiian market or bazaar, similar to those in Japan and the Middle East. The swap meet funded stadium operations for decades as the only source of meaningful revenue.

The recent Hawaiian products show at the Hawai‘i Convention Center demonstrates how popular a market would be.
