Weather maps have revealed that three counties in England could roast in a mini heatwave arriving in hours.

Although things appear to have cooled off in recent days, the temperature could crank up a notch next week.

According to WX Charts, Merseyside, Bristol and Gloucestershire could experience highs of 30C arriving on Monday, August 25.

Other parts of the country including the West Midlands could see the mercury reach 29C.

Meanwhile, in its weather outlook from Sunday (August 24) to Tuesday (August 26), the Met Office says there could be "increase amounts of sunshine".
