MT. VERNON, Ill. (WSIL) -- Two people were arrested on Friday in connection to a shooting investigation in Mount Vernon.
The Mt. Vernon Police Department said they responded to gunfire reports on the evening of August 21, 2025, in the 700 block of Conger. No injuries or property damage were reported, but police said evidence was collected.
Police said this led to the recovery of two firearms and the arrest of two people.
Eric Nabors, a 40-year-old from Mt. Vernon, was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a repeat felony offender, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Korinthian Davis, an 18-year-old from Mt. Vernon, was also charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm.
The investigation is ongoing.
