Virginia's Board of Health has voted to write a new regulation that would ban transgender women from competing on women's sports teams.
On Monday, the 15-member board voted unanimously to accept a petition from three athletes asking the Virginia Department of Health to rewrite its regulations to "prevent biological males from female-only athletics and certain female-designated spaces."
