Gas likely behind Glenmore explosion that killed 1, injured another and leveled a house
The powerful blast, which demolished the two-story house at 2331 Ferndown Lane around 6 p.m. Tuesday, rattled homes for miles and sent insulation, brick and paperwork raining across Albemarle County's largest gated community just east of Charlottesville city limits.
Albemarle Fire Rescue said a gas leak remains the likely cause.
Joscelyne had been checking on the property for Henry and Barbara Rainvill
